24 inch tyre fit guide
A 24 inch label can cover wide junior, MTB, cruiser, cargo and wheelchair tyres. Use the ETRTO code first: many bike tyres in this category use a 507 mm rim, while some wheelchair and older road sizes use 540 mm. Check the printed marking before choosing a tyre, tube or puncture-protection route.
A common 24x1.75, 24x2.00 or 24x3.00 tyre usually uses ETRTO 507. Some 24x1 3/8 and wheelchair tyres use 540. Those rim diameters are not interchangeable.
Wide 24 inch tyres such as 24x2.40, 24x2.60 and 24x3.00 need enough fork, frame and mudguard clearance. Measure the old tyre and check the product ETRTO before ordering.
For daily use, pair the tyre with the right 24 inch tube, rim tape and puncture protection. If the tyre marking is unclear, use the guide before adding products to cart.
If the sidewall says 24x3.00, compare the 24x3 / 76-507 guide before choosing a tyre or tube. Nearby 70-507 and 76-507 options can look similar but are different widths.
For utility, cargo or mobility use, compare solid tyres, reinforced tyre options and protection products after confirming ETRTO.
A 24 inch wheelchair tyre may use a 540 mm rim instead of 507 mm. Use the wheelchair tyre route when the marking includes 24x1 3/8, 37-540 or another mobility-specific size.
Useful routes: 24x3 / 76-507 guide, wheelchair tyres, 24 inch tubes, protection and repair and all 18 to 24 inch tyres.
