A 16 inch tube search can point to children's bikes, trailers, folding bikes, compact commuters and wide custom tyres. Check the ETRTO diameter first: common families include 305 mm, 340 mm and 349 mm. The tube must cover both the rim diameter and the tyre width printed on the sidewall.

305, 340 and 349 differ

A 47-305, 28-340 and 35-349 tube route is not interchangeable just because each may be described as 16 inch. Keep the number after the dash matched to the tyre and rim.

Valve access on small wheels

Small wheels can make valve access awkward. Match Presta, Schrader or Dunlop to the rim hole and check that the valve length or angle works with the wheel.
